Rufus Fears is Professor of Classics at the University of Oklahoma, where he holds the G.T. and Libby Blankenship Chair in the History of Liberty. He earned his Ph.D. from Harvard University. A 15-time award winner for outstanding teaching, he was Indiana University's first-ever Distinguished Faculty Research Lecturer and has three times been named "Professor of the Year" at Oklahoma.
