Bruce is trying to becoming a butterfly because he's afraid of heights. worst yet the other caterpillars teasing bully him about it. unwanting to suffer anymore Brewers runs away from home. along the way he made some unlikely friends including a young moth caterpillar. spitting by her Bruce is horrified when she is captured by a bat while he hides. angered by his cowardice Bruce resolves to rescue her and his friends join in search. when they reach the batcave however they are also captured by the bats evil leader snag. unwilling to cower any longer Bruce devises a pan a plan to rescue the captives and end stings ruthless rule but first he must convince the other bats to join him and fight back. praise for Bruce and the road to courage
