No date given - I’m assuming the mid-1950s. Printed in Switzerland and published in New York by George Braziller. This book is massive; within 209 pages, it contains 283 very large lithographs of illuminated medieval paintings inspired by the Old Testament stories and history… all with very detailed captions and commentary. An excellent collectors item for the medieval art enthusiast. The book is in great shape. Some seldom spotty stains on a few of the the pages in the volume. The jacket has a protective vinyl cover, but it still has some damage in the upper left corner and shelf wear at the top and bottom of the jacket. No annotations or highlights. Overall, it’s in very good condition for its age.
