After the publication of their first book, readers had many questions; the sisters provide answers to these questions and many others in this book. The authors are sisters born in the late 1800s. The second and third of ten children, they grew up in Raleigh, NC. Their father, who was born into slavery, became America’s first elected black Episcopal bishop.
