It recounts his four-month journey by train in 1973 from London through Europe, the Middle East, the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia, and his return via the Trans-Siberian Railway. A nice companion book to “The Kingdom by the Sea,” also in my shop. First edition, first printing, complete number line. Solid copy. Published in 1975, pages are tanned with age. Spine bottom bumped.
