Seller Description
TRIVIA: WHAT WERE THE “CONEYS” OF CONEY ISLAND? Answer: Rabbits, from the Dutch “konijn.” Nice piece of rare NY memorabilia published in 1986 by The Fund for the Borough of Brooklyn, Inc. I find only four copies, $15-$30. Of course, many of the “facts” are outdated but still fun reading them in historical terms or with regards to trivia. Fun fact: Brooklyn’s earliest library (the Apprentices Library) opened in 1823 on Fulton St, for males only. The trivia questions are always enjoyable. Clean pages, no writing, no owner name. Faded spine with edge wear at spine top and bottom. Measures 6” x 9”, 77 pages.#rare#trivia#NY#Brooklyn#NewYork#paperback#nonfiction#funfacts#vintage (Shelf 3F)
