Seller Description
Rare today. In Touring Club Italiano published 300,000 copies of the book in 1956 in Italian (“L’Italia in 300 Immagini”) to distribute to its members. Also in 1956, it then published three additional editions (English, French and German) for foreign club members and Italians abroad. The aim was to show present-day Italy; the photographs are by expert photographers in Italy, almost all previously unpublished. 285 B&W photos, 24 color plates. Pages are lightly tanned with age (not including the photos), especially at the edges. No writing aside from a gift inscription dated 1956. Boards show wear: sunning, bumped corners and spine, three stains. Please see photos.#travel#Italy#vintage#hardcover#nonfiction#photography#photographs (Shelf 6F)
