A cookbook that is food for the eyes Reviewed in the United States on July 10, 2016 I may love this book for all the wrong reasons - the stylish photos of the ingredients for each recipe - and its scope may be limited to sweet baked goods, but I still love the book. That is not to say that it provides the background of fika (think socializing over coffee and a bite to eat) or a comprehensive introduction to the foods that may be offered. All the book does is provide beautiful pictures of the assembled ingredients and the finished product with a very Scandinavian sense of graphic design as well as a ingredient list and instructions to create 30 baked good such as Semior Lenten buns, lingonberry gingerbread cake, crullers, meringues. checkerboard cookies, princess torte ... And, yes, the recipes are very serviceable.
