These 5 Novels Are Surging in Popularity on Pango this Week

On PangoBooks, we often see trends in the book world ripple through our marketplace, driving up sales for used copies of a wide variety of titles. Today, we’re showcasing a handful of books that are currently trending on our platform, and that did not rank in our year-end list of 2022 best-sellers.

Take a look below for five currently trending books on Pango.

Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo

Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo is a slice of dark academia that offers a paranormal story set in the Ivy League halls of Yale University, Bardugo’s alma mater. This book has been the most popular single title on Pango over the past two weeks. The reason for this is that its sequel, Hell Bent, was just released and many readers are playing catch-up on the first installment in the series. While it might be a little while before used copies of Hell Bent get listed by Pango sellers, there are plenty of listings of Ninth House for sale if you want to get a head start.

Pro Tip: In the Pango app, you can save a search for “Hell Bent” which will send you alerts when a copy gets posted.

All the Dangerous Things by Stacy Willingham

All the Dangerous Things, the follow-up to Stacy Willingham’s debut novel, A Flicker in the Dark, is only getting its full release this week, but there’s already a healthy amount of used inventory available thanks to an early release via Book of the Month. This dark mystery follows the story of Isabelle Drake as she tries to unravel the mystery of her son’s abduction. Like her first novel, Willingham’s latest mystery promises a true edge-of-your-seat experience.

It Starts With Us by Colleen Hoover

When it comes to popular books on Pango, it’s no surprise to see Colleen Hoover on the list. It Starts With Us is the sequel to Hoover’s wildly popular It Ends With Us from 2016. This newer installment came out this past fall, and if you’ve been waiting to snag a copy, now is your chance. Prices have started to come down quite a bit, and there are plenty of deals on gently used paperbacks available.

You can see all of Colleen Hoover’s books neatly laid out on this page.

Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin

Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin was one of the most popular releases of 2022 and garnered a wide range of excellent reviews and press. This book tells the story of friends Sam and Sadie over the course of a multi-decade friendship all centered on the theme of video games and video game design. Currently, there are listings for this book on Pango, but lately, copies have been selling almost immediately after they get posted. If you have a copy of this title on your shelf, now would be an excellent time to sell it!

Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren

Unlike some of the titles above, Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren is not an especially new release, having first hit the shelves of your local bookshop back in April 2018. For some reason though, this romance has recently shot up in popularity. Following a then-and-now dual timeline format, this love story features familiar tropes like “second chance romance” and “friends to lovers.” While we’re not entirely sure where this new popularity is coming from, our guess is it has something to do with #booktok.
