Richard Wurmbrand (1909-2001) was a Romanian-born Jewish Christian pastor, author, and human rights activist. He is best known for his book Tortured for Christ, which detailed his experience of imprisonment and torture in Romania during the Communist regime. He founded the Voice of the Martyrs in 1967, an organization which advocates for persecuted Christians around the world.
