In the excitment weve come to the realization that weve developed the need for more space even after building an addition. So in the panic of storing them safely we did the first irrational thing any book lover slash hoarders would do. We purchased the home next door in order to hold our duplicates and with that The Bookstore Next Door was created. The passion flows deeper then a cover here. It is more than image its not just the look, its the feel, the nostalgia and even the smell of a tangible physical book and the comfort of escaping the horrible realities our worlds become and taking in works of art with each read each word relaxing in different universes, galaxies, meeting new characters, new places and thrilling horrors. the worlds within pages soothes the very soul. Its Passion. encouraging reading in the youngest of minds and connecting on levels misunderstood by individuals who rather live robotic lives and not experience the greatness of creativity that exists in others, artists and cultures. we are books, everyone has a story a path a world written every day its lived with free will. like life if you dont like the story close the book and change it by picking up another. Were divorcees now a couple both with brilliant children from Florida & Texas to Pennsylvania. We walk this life in a now peaceful quieter world surrounded by books. We have pallets of new/used books dropped to our home almost weekly, sort them and now sell them. We also seek out teachers with low state budgets spending their own money out of their own pockets to fund books for classrooms and our mission over the summer months is to sell adult books and help them fill their classrooms on a budget. last year sending out 3,000 packages to schools, teachers, daycares, even elderly care facilities. its enough to keep the lights on and fuel our passion for collecting / selling.
