I’m an elementary school teacher who started my book business after witnessing a local thrift store throwing hundreds of books in the trash just because they had too many. Being a teacher, I couldn’t stand seeing perfectly, good books being hauled away to the landfill. So, I begged the store not to throw the books away and I offered to buy them and offered to come into the store a few days each week to keep their shelves stocked. As most people know, teachers do not make a lot of money and being a first year teacher trying to build a classroom library is almost impossible on that salary. Plus, there are so many children whose parents can’t afford to buy new books for their children, and having books in every home to grow and nurture the love of reading is essential. Because of my local thrift store, I have been able to donate books to my students and teachers at my school along with growing my classroom library and my granddaughter’s at-home library. With the other books, I have been able to offer you excellent books at a discounted price and we are keeping books out of the landfill. I hope that you will will decide to purchase at least one book from me. Also, if there is any specific title you are looking for, I will be more than happy to try to find that book for you at an affordable price. Thank you so much for your business! With love, Liv~n~Sassy (Store named after my granddaughter and what she calls me as my grandma name. 😉)
