I opened The Rabbit Hole Bookshop because I believe in the transformative power of books. Growing up, I was surrounded by stories that sparked my imagination, broadened my horizons, and gave me a deeper understanding of the world. My love of reading was cultivated by my mother to which this shop is a tribute. I began selling my late mother’s books as a way to honor her memory and share a part of her life with others. Books were an integral part of who she was—she was a passionate reader, a lover of stories, and someone who found solace, joy, and inspiration in the pages of a good book. Over the years, her collection grew, not just in number, but in meaning, with each book representing a piece of her soul, her interests, and the world she explored. After her passing, I found myself holding onto these books with deep reverence, but I also realized that they can have a greater purpose. Rather than letting them sit untouched on a shelf, I want to pass them along to people who will appreciate them as much as she did. Each book holds a story of its own, and I believe it’s a fitting tribute to my mother to allow these cherished works to find new homes where they will continue to inspire, comfort, and spark curiosity. By selling her books, I hope to not only preserve her love of reading but also create a lasting connection between her and those who encounter her collection. It’s a small but meaningful way to keep her spirit alive, sharing her love for literature and the beauty she found in it with others.
