Sunyi’s writing is nothing short of spectacular. The book is set in a present and past writing. We are revealed information slowly over the length of the book. I was very impressed with how in the dark I felt about everything in the beginning and how everything unraveled overtime.

The concept is a little silly, but it’s more about the lengths a mother will go for her child and that is executed really well. I also think the way it is written is gritty enough to make the premise more serious and the characters easy to empathize with.

I think this one will definitely be a read again in the future book. First read through it didnt grab me as much for some reason! I cant pinpoint why… I can definitely see the appeal and loved the premise though so ill give it a second chance at a later date.
