Adam, a writer, and Sarah, a well-respected lawyer. That is, until Sarah learns about her husband's infidelity and that the mistress is dead. Although angry at Adam, Sarah chooses to represent him a court which is a shock to just about everybody. Her and Adam work together to try and prove his innocence, hoping for success...or failure. Sarah had a hard life growing up, everyone she trusted had failed her. Her father who died, her mother who chose drugs over her, and now her husband. So, Sarah wants revenge...and there are pawns in the game of revenge...just ask Adam and his mistress Kelly Summers, or maybe some may know her as Jenna Way. My thoughts: Wow! I kind of expected the ending, but it was still an enjoyable read and still had many twists and turns. I like that Jeneva kind of persuaded you to both love and hate Adam and Sarah at the same time, and let their stories pull at your heartstrings. 9/10
