bout the Arthur born and raised in the prairies in North Dakota Donald r Don home grew up in a sort of hookfin existence. while still in grade school he carried his first money running five mile long trap line during the winter. finishing high school during the depression he roamed around the world working at odd jobs. he spent 3 years in Alaska but before World war II and served in the United States Navy during the war. afterward he moved to Portland Oregon ten at Portland State and Lewis Clark colleges and turned to freelance writing. he has published more than a thousand articles and stories. most of them on hunting fishing and other outdoor subjects he has hunted and fished all over the continent including Alaska and mexico. presently wildlife and outdoor editor for the Portland Oregon and an add ardent fisherman his great concern is the cause and conservation.
