Artifacts (a serialized story, part 56) Aaron wanted to run after her, but his better judgment told him to leave well enough alone. He managed to make it thru class without his mind wandering to Kerry too much the rest of the day, but as soon as the final bell rang he rushed towards the exit he knew she took, hoping to catch her and walk home with her. She was already outside when he got to the door, but he spent only a moment considering that, and more trying to figure out who she was talking to. The boy was tall, taller than everyone else around. He wore a trench coat, even though the day was almost summer-warm. His hair was long, almost to his shoulders. He was leaning down, saying something to Kerry, and she was listening intently. Aaron slowed, and watched as the two talked more. His confusion changed to outright alarm when the taller boy and Kerry turned and walked away together, going away from the direction of Kerry and Aaron's street.
