Seller Description
In the fall of 1992, Cemetery Dance magazine published “Chattery Teeth,” a new 15-page short story by Stephen King. The haunting story was included in King’s collection, “Nightmares and Dreamscapes,” in 1993. The 112-page horror-story magazine is edited and published by Richard Chizmar, who co-wrote “Gwendy’s Button Box” and “Gwendy’s Final Task” with King, along with the middle book in the Gwendy trilogy, “Gwendy’s Magic Feather.” The 32-year-old pages are a little yellowed at the edges, but otherwise the magazine is in fine shape. For true King enthusiasts this is a rare find that shouldn’t last long. In “Chattery Teeth,” salesman Bill Hogan notices a pair of metal teeth with legs in a convenience store. The clerk claims they are broken and gives them to Hogan. Not only do the teeth indeed work but end up saving Hogan’s life from an evil hitchhiker after a struggle causes Hogan to crash his car. Hogan is trapped in his seatbelt, but the teeth again come to his rescue by chewing through the strap. Will they come for Hogan next?
