I ended up getting a different copy so I am selling my original copy of fourth wing. I read maybe only the first chapter before switching to my new copy. Like new condition some normal wear from that little bit of reading + normal wear from store shipping. The greyish marks on the top of the book(last pic) is charcoal. This does not impact book. There was a small plate of charcoal dust nearby and the wind blew some remnants onto the top of the book’s edge. I brushed it off and it does not impact anything besides there being a slight greyish mark on top but that looks nothing more than like normal wear books get tbh. I loved the book! It was a really great book. It pulls you in and the whole world aspect of it is really interesting. I haven’t really read anything like it. There is some spice as there is romance within the plot. I would say probably a 18+ rating due to this. If you have any questions, feel free to message me. ☺️ Book synopsis from Goodreads: Enter the brutal and elite world of a war college for dragon riders... Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general-also known as her tough-as-talons mother-has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you're smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don't bond to "fragile" humans. They incinerate them. With fewer dragons willing to bond than cadets, most would kill Violet to better their own chances of success. The rest would kill her just for being her mother's daughter-like Xaden Riorson, the most powerful and ruthless wingleader in the Riders Quadrant. She'll need every edge her wits can give her just to see the next sunrise. Yet, with every day that passes, the war outside grows more deadly, the kingdom's protective wards are failing, and the death toll continues to rise. Even worse, Violet begins to suspect leadership is hiding a terrible secret. Friends, enemies, lovers. Everyone at Basgiath War College has an agenda-because once you enter, there are only two ways out: graduate or die

PangoBooks readers generally have a strong consensus about the book. Many found it incredibly engaging and entertaining, often attributing the ease of reading and fast-paced plot as major strengths. The presence of dragons and the "enemies to lovers" trope were frequently highlighted as standout elements. Several readers appreciated the representation of disability and the well-developed world-building, although some noted that it felt reminiscent of other popular series like Divergent and Harry Potter. On the flip side, a few readers criticized the book for being predictable, rushed, and sometimes juvenile, feeling like it catered more to a YA audience despite being marketed for adults.
