Seller Description
This novel tackles a lot of topics (maybe too many?) but it is so well written and the main character is very relatable. Maddie was forced to grow up early. Her mother frequently left London to attend to her family business in Ghana and Maddie is left to care for her sick father. When her mother returns, Maddie (25) jumps at the chance to move out and “find herself”. While she is trying out new personas, tragedy hits and she is forced to reexamine everything. My biggest gripe is books that are so good and deep and then things wrap up with a pretty bow in the last 3-4 pages… that said, I still really enjoyed it!
