Seller Description
Venetian Alberto Tozo Fei's book is a guide to Venice of myths and mysteries. It is made up of seven routes through all six historical districts-sisters of Venice, with the indication of streets and the application of detailed maps. However, the "rod" on which walks are strung is not the history of architectural monuments and painting styles, as in ordinary guidebooks, but urban legends. But since almost all these legends feature historical characters, and ghosts appear in historical places, the author - always to the place - also gives "ordinary" educational information: tells about the history of Venice and describes its most famous architectural monuments. Alberto Tozo Fei (b. 1966) comes from a family of hereditary glassblowers, and before the release of this book he was known as a specialist and enthusiast of the history of Murano glass. It is his first book to go beyond his direct specialty, and has been followed by many others.
