There is an extensive section on smaller furnishings and scholar objects, and many featured items show details of the wood grain and color and the superb carving. Tsai sought to disambiguate the various words used in different regions of Asia to describe huali, hongmu, and zitan, as well as to distinguish old growth zitan with recent examples of the species. Like new condition with only minor shelf wear to the slip case and a few creases to the pages.
