Published posthumously, this autobiography details the life of an early proponent of early childhood education. She was successful in instigating massive reforms in education starting with an early kindergarten in San Fransisco. Kate Douglas Wiggin (1856-1923) wrote many books about education as well as children’s books to raise money for her free kindergartens.
