Seller Description
Signed. Hardback, 1963 Wilson An autobiographical/biographical book, about the history of one of the orphanages in San Francisco, CA. The story begins with the 1906 earthquake in San Francisco. Albert Wilson is already in the orphanage, about 3 years old. Everyone in that building survived. Most of the book is about the years 1906-1917, and Gives interesting insight into life during that time, from the orphanage point of view. Mr. Wilson manages to stay connected or reconnect with a number of staff and children from his years there. The book ends with a reunion, about 1953, and biographical notes on about twenty of the staff and children. I believe this book might have been self published, and now has historical value.
