Ari and Josh both live in New York and keep bumping into each other throughout the years. Ari is a comedian. Josh is a chef, who grew up in a famous deli. They first meet when they find out they’re sleeping with the same woman. Ari isn’t interested in committed relationships and prefers to have casual and open relationships. Josh believes in soul mates. They eventually become friends, then things get complicated. Super classic trope, but I love their friendship. The character development is really good. The characters feel real.
