John Byrne wrote and penciled this issue and he used what Vanessa Williams went through after having been crowned Miss America and the scandal when Penthouse published her nude pics in July of 1984, as the model for the story which was released in January of 1985, "She-Hulk feels the sting of fame when scandalous photos of her are snapped. Can she halt printing before being humiliated on the newsstand"? Supposedly Byrne also created the character T.J. Vance(editor and publisher of "The Naked Truth") sarcastically to loosely represent Stan Lee who was Publisher of Marvel at the time.
