The DVD is the 10th Anniversary Limited Collector’s Edition starring Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle. Each DVD has been played once; the included companion book has been leafed through. The collection is contained in a gold-embossed dark green cloth slipcase wrapped with a “belly band” and measures approximately 10 ¼” (H) x 7 ½” (W) x 1” (D). There are three (3) DVDs: the first two (2) contain the 5-hour BBC production of the story; the third contains a documentary on Jane Austen and an exclusive 10-year retrospective documentary about the making of the classic production. The DVDs themselves are housed in a hardbound book-like case. The included illustrated companion book, entitled “The Making of Pride and Prejudice” contains over 100 pages chronicling 18-months of work, from original concept to the first broadcast bringing vividly to life the challenges and triumphs involved in every stage of production of the television series. The book depicts things such as set design working drawings, costume design sketches, behind-the-scenes photos, and a diary of filming.
