COMPOSITION by Arthur W Dow, 1902 Arthur Wesley Dow (April 6, 1857 – December 13, 1922) was an American painter, printmaker, photographer and an arts educator. During the time of publishing this instruction book he was an art instructor at the Pratt Institute and the Art Students League of New York. He was an instructor to many renowned artists and even architect Frank Lloyd Wright. This book was printed in 1902, the boards are loose but still attached. the pages have some age toning. There is a gift inscription dated Christmas 1903 on the end paper and another owner signature on the inside cover. The book is clean and is from a smoke free home. This book would be a great addition to a student of the arts collection. It's an instruction book but also a part of the American Art history from a renowned artist.
