Perhaps the most intriguing part of reading on Galileo is his conflict with the Church. While there are important aspects of the separation of science and faith there are also important insights we gain through considering an interdisciplinary understanding of science and faith. There is a common tread between them in the study of Alchemy and Phenomenology. However we should be very cautious in an attempt to mix a science guided by utility with faith based on transcendence. Shush a mix will have bad consequences.
