She is every one of us wome n, at the best we can be, in our careers, as lovers and wives and as mothers. She's a role model but not a goodie two shoe. She's a force to be reckoned with. Although the writer is very good and you can improve upon your vocabulary, it is also easy to read. It's the kind of book you could read for three days straight. Dying to know what happens. It's a character you will remember and identify with long after you have finished the book. And it's a book that you will be sad to finish. Fortunately there are at least two sequels that are just about as good as this one and continue with the story of the family dynasty she created. This book should be considered a classic. As a former librarian and lifelong extremely avid reader, I can surely say this is one of the great books of my life. It has so many emotions and experiences that all women live through in their own lives. She could be your sister your mother your grandmother or you could see yourself in her. And the message it leaves is to endure with hope and bravery. You won't regret purchasing it.
