This comprehensive, full colour collection of her work, consists of 108 colour plates accompanied by text written by the artist. Its large format, coffee table book size, is in excellent condition with firm binding and clean, bright pages. There are no markings, stamps or stickers. There are 108 color plates, selected by O'Keeffe, accompanied by her own text. While the book itself is in excellent condition, the dust jacket has edge wear and on the back bottom edge is a 1" tear as shown in the last photo. Georgia Totto O'Keeffe was one of the most influential and accomplished artists of our time. She is associated with the American Southwest, where she found artistic inspiration, and particularly New Mexico, where she settled late in life. O'Keeffe has been a major figure in American art since the 1920s. She is chiefly known for paintings in which she synthesized abstraction and representation in paintings of flowers, rocks, shells, animal bones and landscapes. Her paintings present crisply contoured forms that are replete with subtle tonal transitions of varying colors. She often transformed her subject matter into powerful abstract images.
