This is a book that I found in a bargain bin and took a chance on. From the cover I thought it would be about pirates. It was not. Its about a young Jewish boy in Europe and North America in the eighteenth century. Not something I normally would have picked but I was pleasantly surprised. Once I got into it I finished it in just a few days. The slipcover is in pieces, though its been put back together. There is fraying along the edges and some writing on the first page. The pages are in good shape.
