Artifacts [a serialized story] part 62. Other students veered away from him as he staggered into the middle of the hallway. Before he could get his balance, he was pushed again and this time he went careening into the lockers on the far side of the hall. At least he didn't fall over, he thought, as he focused his attention. Jillian was in front of him, pointing a finger and holding it so close his eyes almost crossed. She moved towards him but was intercepted by a hand pushing her back and away from him. "I'm not his girlfriend, " Kerry said in a low voice. "And if you've got a problem with me, why not bring it up with me? Or are you only able to win a fight if it's against someone smaller than you." Aaron wondered if Kerry could have made this any more embarrassing for him.
