Missing first few pages including the copyright page. Missing the last 3 pages. Spine is in poor condition. Book has obvious signs of age, wear and tear, and stains. Some pages are ripped or have holes. A few pages are completely detached. Book has some attempts at repair including staples. Contains some tape marks but no tape actively on or inside book. First edition, second state, binding state B, bearing "Published, July, 1904" on copyright and the plate on pp 23 bearing the caption "Old Mombi puts Jack in the stable." The second of L.
