She wondered why balloons and flowers were things you gave sad people or sick people, and then wondered if you did give balloons to all sad people because she had to admit she'd never seen balloons at a funeral and she had been to seventeen of those. 18 soon, maybe, if she could find the right room and if she could get the person alone and if she could manage to kill them, instructions that made no sense to her since the person was in the hospital, and in intensive care, and it seemed like things would take care of themselves but here she was, waltzing thru the hospital with flowers and balloons and a syringe in her pocket trying to find the ICU and if that wasn't enough she turned a corner and was barreled into by a man who was in a dead-on sprint. As they fell to the ground she felt a poke in her chest and thought "uh oh."
