An American classic! This would make a great addition to any 20th C lit collection. MacMillan 1938, First edition, 40th printing. 1037 pages. Grey boards with navy lettering. Overall good condition for a vintage book of this age and size. Binding split at boards, but all pages intact and otherwise good. Spine is scuffed and has slight split at bottom edge. Tanning on inside cover edges. Text block rough cut on foreedge. Pages supple and unmarked. See photos. Any questions, just ask! Compare at... well, I found very few comparable titles. Any with a dust jacket are going for double this price (even a facsimile dj!). Not ex-library! Not a remainder.
