Bacon is perhaps best know for his work on the method of science. His method of science is based on induction. Induction takes as it’s basis that prior knowledge is a predictor of future history. That nature consists of law like patterns. It is interesting to note that Bacon also believed that such a science could never be reconciled with faith. Such inductive cognition follows the analytical mode and and although the analytical mode allows for greater utility it is unholy when it is not guided by the wholistic and intuitive mode of consciousness.
