The Lord of the Rings is a high fantasy trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien, an English philologist and University of Oxford professor. The story is about Frodo Baggins and his servant Sam, who must carry the Ring of Power to Mount Doom to destroy it. The series is considered by many to be the start of the high fantasy genre. Some water damage to the box set and a cut but nothing on the books they are in great condition
