This a collection of 16 volumes out of 20, vol. 2, 8, 18, and 20 are missing. It consists of abridged stories of 100s of the worlds greatest authors. Each volume has multiple photos and illustrations with semi-transparent cover slips containing the title of the photo or illustration it is protecting. All vols. are in excellent condition, though vol. 11 has some minor worm damage, see pic#5. The top edges of the pages are gold gilded, see pic 2. This is a beautiful collection and would be a wonderful addition to anyones library.
