1000 Characters, 13: A Competent Doctor Who Does Not Otherwise Figure In This Story: Before Kelley could come up with a response, the curtain blocking them from other patients was flung up and aside and as it flapped around, a doctor entered. She looked around at the crowd as she moved to the side of the bed and pulled out a penlight, which she shone into the eyes of the man who was neither Harry nor drunk. She said in a cool low voice "what are his vitals?" When she got no response she glanced up at the nurse, or where the nurse had been because Nurse Mindy was no longer there. She turned towards the paramedic and the stranger but they were gone, too. The curtain swung from side to side. The doctor briefly considered ducking outside that curtain to find the two medical staffers, and maybe order that man out of the ER, but she was far too competent for that and, too, that would have involved her more in this story and wr already told you, she doesn't factor in after this.
