Emerald-green cover on this 6.0 x 8.5" soft cover book. Front cover has been widely opened, holding good, pages and back cover tight at binding. Covers with light handling soil, spine has darkened a bit, good title on spine as well as on front cover. Slight wear at cover tips, cover and spine edges. Leaf edges very little soil. There is transferred brown shadows on inside of front cover from business card of Mr. Kono having been taped onto front/title page some time ago. Card still retains the original tape, and is completely loose inside front cover; brown marks on title page where tape had originally been. Brown has also transferred through to back of title page, no text obscured. Title page has at very top an inscription and both authors have signed under the inscription. Two-page Table of Contents at front and a 3-page index of scientific names followed by 2-page index of common names at back, completing the 205-page book. Pages are light ivory in color, good weight paper. Many detailed drawings of agricultural pests throughout book. Each pest has clearly defined description of body parts along with further descriptions such as what they feed on, country of origin, etc. This 44+-year-old book would be a great addition to the library of a student interested in entomology
