Hello! Up for sale is the First U.S. Hardcover Edition of the novel MISSEE LEE by Arthur Ransome. This is the 10th book in Ransome’s beloved children’s adventure series “Swallows & Amazons”. Originally published in the UK in 1941, this is the First United States Edition, published by MacMillan in 1942 The Book is in surprisingly Good condition despite it’s age, with only light shelfwear to the edges of the full cloth boards. There is some tanning to the pages, but no chipping. The spine is intact and there is a slight lean. The dustjacket is also in Good condition with light wear to some of the edges and some very slight chipping/ at the bottom of the front, the top of the spine and to the top-front corner . Though the infolds have a slightly tapering cut as designed, the $2.50 price is intact and unclipped. Please let me know if you have any questions!
