Kasparyan was a strong Soviet chest master who played in several USSR championships. But he is best known for composing beautiful and practical study positions. Many strong grand masters do not study tactics by playing through quiz books, but by trying to solve studies, which are more difficult. They are also much more beautiful. Unlike chess problems which have unrealistic positions, studies are from positions where players which could occur in real games. This book is hard to find for under $40.
