There is a small pen ink on one page of both from when I bought it a few years ago. This is the same Author that wrote The Jungle Book and Rikki Tikki Tavi. He was a poet that took much of his inspiration from the British India he grew up in. I would also like to say the symbol you see was placed in these books during a time where it wasn’t a hate symbol that it is used as now. The Author of this book did not agree with the Nazis that used this symbol during WW2 and furthermore said that the symbol wouldn’t adorn his books from the point they used it forward. These were placed when it was used in Indian culture as meaning other things and the hate is was used for in the future doesn’t reflect this authors beliefs.
