Alternate Earth Movies: Toy Story Woody The Cowboy's authoritarian regime is shaken when a new toy, Buzz Lightyear, Space Ranger, arrives. The other toys slowly begin to realize that Woody is self-centered, bossy, and generally unlikeable. When Woody realizes that his grip on power is slipping, he tries to undermine Buzz, then get rid of him. But the other toys, now dissatisfied with Dictator Woody belittling them and monopolizing Andy's time, throw him out, too, and install a true democracy of one toy, one voice. Woody desperately searches for Buzz, hoping to trick him into helping Woody get back into Andy's room, telling him a story of rebellion and playing up to Buzz's Space Ranger instincts. Buzz agrees to help Woody, but when the 2 are accidentally taken by Sid, Buzz realizes his error when he sees how Woody treats the damaged toys. Buzz is almost blown up by a rocket but Sid's toys free him and escape to Andy's, where they are loved. Buzz sets off to find his rocket.
