I have had some rotten luck with spoilers. When The Phantom Menace came out, I assiduously avoided reviews so nothing would be spoiled. Then I read a review of the SCORE in a magazine, and it specifically without warning lauded the track "Death of Qui-Gon." I also had no desire to see The Sixth Sense, UNTIL I read a review which spoiled the ending, and that made me want to see the movie, which I did, but I didn't get the surprise twist everyone else got. But the weirdest one was for Lost. I was watching it on dvr and my wife and daughter were ahead of me. I steered clear of any talk about the actual plot, but one day I mentioned over dinner that Charlie was my favorite character, and they both stopped and exchanged looks, and when I said "what?" they both wouldn't say anything. When it got to the scene where Charlie drowns, I realized what they'd reacted to just as the scene started, and then had to watch the whole scene unfold with no hope whatsoever that Charlie would live.
