ABOUT THE BOOK: This is a great kids book, suitable for preschool through 2nd grade. This is part of a series of books by Laura Joffe Numeroff. The first book was "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie." My children absolutely loved this silly book and all books by this author. It has really cute color detailed illustrations by Felicia Bond. It's definitely worth the investment to grab up every book you can find from this author. I highly suggest buying a hard cover with this series of books because they'll be read often, and I've found that the paper covers just do not keep up well. Unlike a lot of books this one is suitable to read to your child around age 2 (as soon as they are able to pay attention for a few minutes.) And your child will still love reading it for several years. I found that my toddlers were interested as long as they could move around the room. They kept coming back to see the book because my preschoolers were in stitches over it. The toddlers also liked the illustrations. Its one of those books that children will keep nudging forward closer to the book if they are sitting at group readings.
