Donna Tartt has me in a stupid chokehold. I don’t know if I understand her works, or even like them at times but I will probably think about this book everyday for the rest of my life.

It’s impossible to sum up The Goldfinch in a few sentences, much less a one-liner. Suffice it to say that it is truly deserving of the Pulitzer Prize bestowed upon it. If you can get past the intimidation of reading all 774 pages of this one-of-a-kind book, major rewards await.
