Red Box Set LORD OF THE RINGS + THE HOBBIT by J.R.R. Tolkien (1973 Ballantine Fantasy) Acceptable condition. Great red box set of all 4 original paperbacks -- the Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, The Return of the King, and The Hobbit -- in Tolkien's middle-earth saga with cover art from paintings by Tolkien himself. Books have average reading wear, some minor dog-ears, creased spines, minor curling, foxing to interior pages. The Hobbit has the former owner's name written neatly on the top corner of first page, but other books are clean and unmarked. The box is still sturdy but scuffed on the bottom in particular, with a little peeling along one top edge, and some chipping. Please see pictures for details.
