Hello! Up for sale is a Vintage UK Hardcover Edition of the collection FOUR QUARTETS by Nobel Prize winning poet T. S. Eliot. This is a collection of four poems written & publisher by Eliot over a 6-year period. The poems contained in this collection are: Burnt Norton East Corker The Dry Savages Little Gidding These Four Quartets are similarly structured and have been described as interlinked meditations with the common theme being man's relationship with time, the universe, and the divine, and is considered Eliot’s last great work. Published in the United Kingdom by Faber & Faber, this copy is described on the copyright page as an “Eighth Impression” and was published in June 1950. The Book is in Fair condition. There is some staining and spotting to the full cloth boards. The pages have tanned/foxed, especially at the endleaves (see photos for an example) and there are a few pages with either minor stains or evidence of faint pencil markings/notes that have since been erased without damage. The spine is tight and in good structural shape with no page separation, and there is no lean. The dustjacket is in Fair condition with some wear to the edges, including some chipping and tears at the edges and at the spine, along with tanning and discoloration.
